About the role
We have an opportunity for you to work at an established venue in Hamilton reputable for its fresh seafood and Japanese cuisine.
As a chef, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the kitchen team at the venue, liaising with the Head Chef, manager, and business directors. You will be responsible for assisting the day-to-day kitchen operation, with a particular focus on making fresh sashimi and sushi dishes. With the support from our team, you may be required to create and design new raw seafood dishes.
The role will be a full-time position.
You will be working weekdays, weekends, and public holidays if required.
The suitable candidate
This restaurant is looking for a creative, professional, and energetic person to join our team of talented chefs. We are looking for people who have a passion for the hospitality industry and deliver dishes that exceed our customer's expectations.
β‘οΈ 2 years experience as a chef
β‘οΈ Past experience as a sushi/sashimi chef recommended but not essential
β‘οΈ Excellent knife technics and fresh fish handling skills are necessary
β‘οΈ Effective communication and attitude
β‘οΈ Organised with a for well-prepared food
β‘οΈ Willingness to grow and improve
