AUSSIE NEWS: What a wonderful result it was for a first-time event - the Sydney Superhot Chilli and BBQ Festival by our fearless lesder, Scarlett Habanero, last Sunday at Entertainment Quarter.

Despite woeful weather forecasts, streams of chilli heads turned up determined to try the products from our 26 artisan chilli vendors.

It took a Queenslander to crack the Sydney nut and boy are we proud!

Thanks to our No.1 Sydney supporter Matty of Team Scoville Slayer for helping spread the word and for MCing the Jerky Challenge.

Huge thanks to Rob Dunn of Australian Extreme Chilli Condiments. for his MCing of Wings, Pods and Noodle Challenges despite sore feet!

Beware of Imitations!

Whilst imitation is flattery, please don’t confuse any other “Brisbane Chilli” event with ours.

A “Brisbane” event is held within the Brisbane metropolitan area, not in another region 😂 .

Any event held at Petrie, 30km from Brisbane, is not to be confused with Scarlett Habanero’s great event Briz Chilli and Beer Fest which has run since 2018.

City of Moreton Bay is not part of Brisbane.

My Chilli Festival events always feature a bright yellow round sunny logo, so be sure you know what you’re attending.
