23 Years with EDC – Congratulations Ed!

We are super proud to celebrate a major milestone for our Project Manager Ed Cornel, who marks an incredible 23 years with EDC.

Over the years, Ed has played a key role in delivering projects with professionalism, consistency, and a calm, solutions-focused approach - the kind that keeps everything moving, even when challenges pop up.

And yes… we’ve dug up a classic throwback from Ed's early days … proof that while the hairstyles and photo quality may have changed in 23 years, but Ed's dedication and work ethic have stayed exactly the same! 📸😄

Teamwork in Action

EDC Systems recently delivered a smart solution to a challenging mains supply for a new building at a major Brisbane girls school.

Working closely with a services locator and a directional boring team, we successfully installed new conduits in a tricky location, all without impacting any existing services.

A great outcome from a complex installation! Big thanks to Craig for his excellent communication and leadership throughout the project, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. 💪

⛳️ FORE a good cause! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

Some of our team swapped the worksite for the fairways recently, with EDC sponsoring a hole at the St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School Foundation Golf Day, sponsored by FARA.

Its safe to say we are definitely better electricians than we are golfers 😅 - but the enthusiasm (and the laughs) were top tier.

Thanks to Ed, Craig, Alex and Nicole for a fantastic day supporting a great cause, even if a few golf balls are still missing somewhere out on the course… 🏌️‍♂️😂

Footy Tipping Champions 🏆

It was a super close finish to this year’s workplace footy tipping competition with Nathan D and Mark finishing equal first place👏
They’ll be sharing the winners prize after an impressive season of tipping.

A special mention goes to Jackson, who was right on their heels as runner up, and to Nicole - who's wooden spoon performance was probably worse than the Knights season itself 🤦‍♀️

Well done to everyone who took part, hopefully some of us will do better next season! 😅🏉

Our team recently delivered the structured cabling works for a brand new building in one of Brisbane's most prestigious girls schools - installing 140 outlets and a 12-core fibre backbone to support the school’s growing technology needs.

Another quality installation by our team, ensuring future-ready connectivity for staff and students.

This was a great project to be a part of, building the foundation for future growth and innovation.🙌

EDC Systems were recently engaged to review the lighting in a client’s fire stairwells after staff had raised concerns. Following our site audit, we recommended an upgrade to LED emergency lighting - the most reliable and cost-effective long-term solution.

Our team completed the works after hours to avoid disruption to both our client and nearby businesses.

The end result -
✅ Improved safety
✅ Peace of mind in an emergency
✅ Reduced maintenance and costs

Another successful upgrade, delivering safer and smarter outcomes for our clients.
