To celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day, Metro Mining’s Community Liaison Officer, Svana Gebadi, donated copies of Mummy is a Miner and read the story with local children.

The children loved it, with one child even noticing that a character in the book was wearing the exact same uniform as Svana! 👷🏽‍♀️📖

It was a great success and a wonderful way to encourage the importance of reading from a young age, helping children build confidence, language skills and a lifelong love of learning.
