I can no longer do the splits (actually, I can’t recall that I ever could) or swing from the monkey bars like I did in my childhood - gravity seems to have taken over!

I’ve been heavily involved in recruitment lately, and I truly enjoy the process, however, I’ve noticed some surprising trends. There’s a clear lack of effort from many candidates across all levels, from administrative to senior roles. Why aren’t applicants including cover letters or even a simple note? Why don’t they address the specific ad or company they’re applying to? And why aren’t they taking the time to read the job ad thoroughly? Making these adjustments can make a candidate stand out among the 300 applications (yes, 300!) we’re receiving. In saying all of this - there are some absolute gems out there too - incredible applications, where the intention is crystal clear. It’s as crazy as it is rewarding that is for sure!

The role involves working 2 days per week, with the option to spread the hours over 3 days. Candidates located near the Berwick (Melbourne) area are preferred for occasional staff meetings.

Responsibilities:
⏳ Weekly reconciliation and review of bookkeeping for various clients
📒 General bookkeeping duties, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt collection, and bank reconciliations using Xero
✏ General administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:
📒Proven experience as a bookkeeper in a similar advisory organisation managing multiple clients

I get asked a lot ... A LOT... who does the work - is it you or do you pass it on to other Virtual Assistants?

The short answer is - it is JUST ME. I am The Red Button, I'm your VA and I do all the work - from start to finish. I find it is important for continuity, privacy, accuracy ... just to name a few. So, when you call The Red Button - you get me!

I'm Nicole, I'm old enough to know better, but still am learning lessons every day of my life and embracing it. I live in gorgeous Brisbane, Australia (but born and spent most of my life in Melbourne ❤️). I have two kids (B13 👦🏼, G10 👧🏼) who are of course - amazing humans. It is a privilege to do what I do every day. I love it!
