So proud of these gals - getting to Volleyball State champs - Felix in U19 Elodie in u15
Both have worked hard training all season early mornings and evenings 4 times a week sometimes and digging deep for their love of the sport - a great couple of fun days away as trio and 9th in U19 and a 1st 🥇 in U15 !!

Not too shabby. With everything they continue to face they show up with grit, commitment good sportsmanship and a whole lot of heart.

💜Beyond DV High Tea - so happy I managed to rally and show up in my Beyond DV Ambasaasor role to their most important fundraising event of the year.

💜 I won’t lie - earlier this week I was struggling emotionally and mentally - the load and the isolation as a widow and solo parent to two teens and major points in their lives felt particularly heavy.

💜 Thanks to my gorgeous friends and Kate for coming with me and to my dear friend, inspirational leader and founder of Carolyn Robinson - such a wonderful panel discussion and great fashion parade from Brisbane Arcade styled by so busy looking at the clothes I forgot to film them.

💜 If you weren’t able to make it there are upcoming events you can support the 50/50 and you don’t have to be at the game to buy raffle tickets click link

POV : When you’re gifted with more than a

✨ Glimmers: term used for positive micro moments of joy that you witness - according to neuroscientist, Dr Barbara Friedrickson, author & one of the teachers on my positive psychology course - prioritising your life around micro moments of joy is proven to develop greater ongoing resilience & happiness - according to her “broaden and build” theory.

💗 For over 16 years since my mama got cancer, wound down my sydney business & moved to brisbane in 2010 - I have been living an intentional life according to heart-led values.

❤️‍🩹 Even facing the myriad of challenges & heartaches big & small since Jason died ( the last month being my hardest I think so far as I am weary) I’ve wanted to continue to follow my purpose : ignite a spark in others to reach their full potential.

🤝 Connection is one of my core values & at the end of 2021, at a school function I chatted with the mum next to me - that informal chat led to me getting an introduction to the right person in Skilling Qld. I did the meeting & pitched, then Wonder Woman took over, developed the program, applications & got the charity the incredible funding just as Jason died.

🥳 Yesterday we celebrated 50 women who have graduated these courses in their 1st year of funding

🙏 I am so grateful to Carolyn for approaching me this year to see if I had any capacity to come back & help out unexpectedly , for her inspiring, caring leadership when I said even the minimal days I was doing was too much - 🙏 fairy Godmother Andrea who has come in, been able to give the hours & expertise needed to make this a banging suite of Programs, allowing me to focus on presenting one course.

💜Working on Skilling Queenslanders programs developing materials, liaising with DV survivors, QLD govt, presenting, teaching & coordinating courses in Personal Development, Digital Literacy & Retail Services this last year has been so fulfilling.

💗 It was so inspiring to not only hear how these courses have supported these courageous & resilient women but to walk alongside them as they carve out their new life paths.

Quote for the graduates

🎓You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.

Henry David Thoreau

It’s been a while since I posted here - Jason my husband died suddenly a year ago - I have been documenting the journey as a widow with my two girls on IG but I haven’t posted onto this page - too much additional labour tbh

Thanks for your support here for many years.

I will be pausing this business page for a while.
