People keep asking, “How much does it cost to build or renovate these days?”
Honestly, watch and listen to the beginning of this podcast. This was already over a year ago in Brisbane, and costs certainly haven’t gone backwards since then.
A lot of people still compare pricing to what things cost 3 to 5 years ago, but the building industry has changed massively. Materials, trades, insurances, compliance, fuel, wages… everything has increased.
Not saying this to scare anyone off renovating or building, but more so to help people understand why quotes today can look very different to what they expected.
Definitely worth a listen before starting your next project.
