That little green button in Xero. You know the one. ✅

Click, match, next. So satisfying.

But here's the problem. Xero's suggested matches are often right. Often right isn't always right.

And the wrong ones don't wave a red flag. They sit quietly in the background and compound:

❌ Personal expenses coded to the business
❌ Duplicate transactions
❌ Incorrect GST coding

Then one day you look at your reports, and your numbers are telling you the wrong story. Right when you're making decisions based on them.

Pay your tax bills on the credit card? Good news. 💳

The ATO was going to stop taking credit card payments from 30 November. That’s now been pushed back to 30 June 2027.
So nothing changes for your next few tax bills. But the change is still coming.

A delay isn’t a fix.

If the credit card is part of how you get through tax time, use the extra time to sort out a plan B:
💡 Know what you owe early. Not the week it’s due.
📊 Build a tax buffer into your cash flow, so the card stops being the safety net.
🤝 Talk to us about your options if a bill is going to be tight.
⚠️ After June 2027, third-party providers will still take credit cards. Check their fees first, and watch out for scams pretending to be them.

We’d much rather you see the number coming than scramble for a card on the due date.

Our CEO is a finalist, and we could not be prouder. 💛

Sarah Parkinson, our founder and CEO, has been named a finalist for Professional Bookkeeper of the Year (Practice Owner) at the 2026 Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) Luca Awards.

Here's the thing about Sarah. Before Diverse, she ran a fresh food business with 15 staff, so she's lived the small business grind: gut-feel decisions, admin at 10pm, the lot. So she built Diverse to give other owners what she never had. Clarity and their evenings back.

Safe to say the judges noticed.
