ind great lighting for our make-up. Hotel lighting was often dark & dismal, and hostel lighting was almost non-existent! To compromise for bad lighting, we would buy all kinds of stand-up mirrors, compact mirrors, glowing reflectors, and even torches in a bid to apply our make-up properly! All these crazy efforts to solve our problem would only end in more problems…
the mirrors were too big, too small, too heavy, too chunky…
the very few lighted ones were too bright or too weak …
the lighted ones needed plugs and the plugs needed adapters!...
If they didn’t need plugs, they needed batteries. The continual buying of batteries would then eat into our travel budgets. any mirror bigger than a hand compact wouldn’t travel and always arrived at our next destination in pieces! It was these frustrations that led us to a solution. We needed a fabulous travel mirror that was the perfect size for make-up that we could take anywhere and everywhere! It would need to be:
not too big, not too small, and not too chunky to pack and travel. have the perfect lighting in any room, at any time of day, in any situation. include a built-in battery and be easily rechargeable in any country at any time. be encased in something protective that would allow it to safely travel anywhere, anytime, by any method, and arrive like new. In 2018, we solved most of these problems but not all, with our first release of LED travel make-up mirrors and Alluuq was born. Our current 2021 range has finally solved them all, and we hope you fall in love with them as much as we have. They are quality focussed, problem solving, fashionable works of genius!
