Platinum Blasting Services Platinum provides exceptional blasting services, simplifying mining operations across Australia. And so, Platinum Blasting Services was born.

In just a decade, we've become one of the leading blasting providers. Discover the Platinum difference and understand why numerous mining operations trust us. Our journey began in 2014 with a simple, yet significant insight. Mine operators often found themselves caught between the limitations of larger blasting providers that couldn't provide the personalised service they needed, and smaller operators, which lacked the full suite of blasting capabilities. Recognising a need in the market, we brought together a team of industry experts to solve the problem. Platinum offers all your blasting needs, with a Platinum service you can’t get anywhere else. It’s how we make mining easier at numerous operations across Australia and why we’ve grown to become one of the leading blasting providers to the mining industry in just a decade.

Platinum Blasting Services Technical Services Manager, Lachlan Jensen, had a blast joining industry leaders, project developers, investors, government representatives and resource professionals at the AusIMM North Queensland Resources Forum and 46th Sir George Fisher Lecture last week in Townsville.

Lachlan was impressed by the depth and diversity of North Queensland’s resources sector on display during the forum. His key insights gained from the events include:

✅ North Queensland is currently experiencing significant activity and investment across the resources sector.

✅ Several new and emerging projects are progressing throughout the region, including CopperString the restart of Phosphate Hill, the restart of gold and copper mines, and developments in graphite and vanadium battery technologies.

✅ The Queensland Government is actively supporting these opportunities through its New Critical Minerals Strategy, which provides a strong foundation for future growth and investment in the sector.

Thanks to all the speakers for the valuable knowledge and experience they shared, and to the AusIMM North Queensland Branch for organising such successful events.

We look forward to taking part in future events!
