Please sign this petition to save Merimbula Aircraft Maintenance

Most of my flying has been out of Moruya and I’ve had to take aero club planes to get maintenance by Rex plenty of times over the years.

Aircraft maintenance businesses are unique and vital assets to every regional airport, not only do they support the local airport operations, they provide support for aviation operations in surrounding regions - even 150 kilometres away.

The Bega Valley Shire Council need to reassess their plans and ensure that Rex is not forced out of business.

This morning, in Moses Lake, WA, a 40-passenger airliner powered by fuel cells took to the sky for the first time. It is the by far the largest fuel cell powered ever to fly.

If you haven’t heard of Zara, you have now.

No amount of planning could have predicted every hurdle given how volatile & fast changing things have been with the pandemic, but she still pushed forward and successfully achieved her goal to become the youngest woman to fly solo around the world. That’s inspiring.
