Today is World Mental Health Day. Whilst mental health is a perceived sensitive topic, mental health affects everyone at some point in their lives. Everyone has a bad day, a bad week, a bad month or even longer. No one is immune to a mental health illness , condition or episode. Remember it’s often the loudest, the happiest or the nicest person who is struggling the most. Not just today but every day. Reach out and check on your family, your friends, your work mates or for that matter a stranger. It’s not weak to speak if you are struggling. If you are struggling and you have no one to check on you just pick up the phone in Australia and call lifeline 13 11 14 or your employers Employee Assistance program for help. No matter what you do please speak up.
