What a day at the Cloncurry Cup!

A big thank you to the Cloncurry & District Race Club Inc., its committee and volunteers for looking after us so well. Bentleys Queensland was proud to be back as a Gold Sponsor of the 2026 TAB Curry Cup.

It was great to have Rohan, Holly, Dougall, Alex and Jiles out on course and at the presentation for our sponsored race.

It's nearly regatta weekend! Rowers are heading to Barcaldine on Saturday and Longreach on Sunday for the Outback Rowing Regatta. Once again, Bentleys Queensland is proud to support the regatta again for our fifth year.

We'd love to give a shout-out to the Outback Ladies Crew. Last year, this group of friends had what they call "a slightly crazy idea": learn to row and enter the regatta. Most grew up in the bush or regional Queensland, and three of them have been making the early-morning trip from Toowoomba to train on the Brisbane River.

In their words, there have been "plenty of laughs, a few sore muscles, lots of learning and more than a few moments wondering what we had signed ourselves up for." After less than 12 months on the water, they're ready to put it all to the test.

Anna, Ingrid, Susie, Jen, Tina, Adie, Nat and Helen, enjoy every stroke. From the Brisbane River to the Outback, here they come!

Yesterday we brought together some of Queensland’s leading voices in property, design and construction for Women Shaping Industry, Edition One: Our Built Environment.
 
A huge thank you to our panel, Dr Kate Meyrick from Urbis, Amie Edser from Populous and our own Jodi Lupton, for a conversation full of honesty, opportunity, insight and genuine perspective. And to Kendall Gilding for guiding it with such warmth and curiosity, she approached the panel the same way the audience did, genuinely curious to hear what came next.
 
One of the biggest takeaways from the conversation was that the growth and opportunity ahead of the 2032 Olympics is our chance to be considered and deliberate about what South East Queensland becomes, not just how big it gets.
 
It’s also an opportunity for mid-tier businesses to diversify, stepping into projects that tier-one builders won’t have the capacity for as they’re pulled into major government work, provided the feasibility and risk work is done properly.
 
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Bentleys Queensland. The conversations, the connections and the questions are exactly what this series is about.

Bentleys Queensland is launching a new networking series: Women Shaping Industry, bringing together the women at the forefront of business in Queensland.

We’re beginning with property, construction, architecture and placemaking. Queensland is being rebuilt in front of us, and the decisions being made now will outlast the 2032 Games by decades.

We’re so pleased to be hosting Dr Kate Meyrick from Urbis, who has spent over 25 years shaping precincts around the world, and Amie Edser from Populous, who has led major stadium and precinct projects across Asia-Pacific, from Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium to Brisbane’s own 2032 Olympic precinct planning. Our own Jodi Lupton joins them, bringing decades of financial advisory expertise to the property industry, and Kendall Gilding will keep the conversation moving.
