A dream come true to hang up my cleaning tools today and go overseas on a family trip.. wow after 17 years of no holidays, I can’t wait to go on a well earned trip.

Appreciate all my clients who have been supportive and understanding that GS Cleaning Services based in Clayfield will be closed for business during my time away. I look forward to seeing you all again when I return.

One thing I cannot do without in my line of work as a cleaning business is always making sure I have the right PPE.

After years of suffering from contact dermatitis from chemicals, working in extreme weather conditions, stress, using the wrong types of gloves such as latex and nitrile caused recurring flare up and breakouts on my hands every 3 to 6 months.

The healing of my scarred hands normally took another 3-6 months to heal.

However a miracle took place a year ago when I discovered this vinyl powder free gloves which has changed my life as it has been 9 months since I had a flare up.

My hands have fully recovered and It makes my job as a professional cleaner worth it and the value these gloves offer protection for my hands.

Please share this information with other cleaners or anyone who experience this conditions and want a solution.

I am interested to hear what PPE you think works best and why????

Another day nearly over, washing, drying to folding cleaning rags etc is a weekly chore. I am Welcoming the weekend in.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the new clients who came on board this week and the clients who have supported me from day one.

Do cleaners ever feel like you’ve outdone yourself cleaning?

I have been feeling that cleaning is slowly losing its grip on my life where I am showing interest in other areas of my life that requires my focus too.

My job as a professional cleaner for over 20 years was greatly tied to
My life directly meaning my income is based off my job. Without my cleaning job I have no means of income to support myself.

That was the way I use to think, until I started listening to great podcasters, doing meditations and brain exercises did my thinking start changing that I don’t have to believe that my job is the only source of income.

So I have started doing other creative projects that bring me joy and really putting myself out into places I use to feel scared to be in, but now it’s normal to want to try new things and show up for the unexpected potential too.

So my encouragement to anyone still thinking that one job is all there is, reframe it to all the possibilities you have from all the skills and knowledge you have and what you can do to change your mind.
