Records and Information Management Edition - The Answers!

How did you go!?

Question 3 – Detailed Answer:
A Document is an information object that is active and dynamic. It can be edited, collaborated on, and changed over time to support ongoing business activities.

A Record is a finalized document that has been captured to serve as immutable evidence of a business activity, decision, or legal transaction. Under RIMPA's framework, once a document is declared a record, it must possess the strict attributes of authenticity, integrity, reliability, and usability.

Content Manager Edition - The Answers!

How did you go?

Question 3 – Detailed Answer:

A Document is an active, dynamic file that can still be edited, revised, checked out, and updated with new versions or revisions.

A Record is a finalized document that has been locked down or "declared". Once captured as a record, it becomes completely unalterable (immutable) to serve as legal evidence of a business transaction or decision. [1, 2, 3, 4]

🗂️ Client Spotlight: When network file shares go read-only, the data still has to move - safely, and without losing anything.

A recent migration into Content Manager involved mapping file structures, expanding storage by 8TB, and solving a tricky content indexing hiccup along the way (turned out to be a disk space issue - quick fix once we found it!).

Test migration first, client sign-off, then production. 4 weeks start to finish. ✅

Got a migration on the horizon? We'd love to help.
