June is National Burns Awareness Month – a timely reminder that burns and fire-related injuries can happen in seconds, but the right training can make all the difference.

For workers in high-risk industries such as energy, construction, mining and manufacturing, understanding how to respond to fire incidents and emergencies is a critical part of workplace safety.

We offer a range of nationally recognised training courses designed to help workers build the skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations, including Chief Warden Emergency Training (PUAFER006), Fire Training (MSMWHS212) and Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment (CPPFES2005) just to name a few.

Investing in safety training isn't just about compliance – it's about helping ensure everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.

Safety training isn’t a “set and forget” exercise - especially in high-risk industries.

Over time, procedures change, equipment evolves, regulations update, and even experienced workers can become complacent. That’s why regular refresher training is so important for keeping safety front of mind and teams genuinely job-ready.

In our latest blog, we explore:
✔ Why refresher training matters
✔ When businesses should revisit safety training
✔ The risks of outdated training
✔ How proactive training supports a stronger safety culture

Because effective safety training isn’t just about compliance - it’s about protecting people and creating safer workplaces every day.

This week is National Road Safety Week - an important reminder that every decision we make on and around the road matters.

For industries like energy, construction and infrastructure, road safety is more than just getting from A to B. It’s about protecting workers travelling between sites, operating vehicles and equipment safely, managing fatigue, staying aware of changing conditions, and making sure everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.

This week, we encourage everyone to take a moment to think about the role we all play in keeping our roads safer - whether you’re behind the wheel for work, travelling between projects, or commuting home to your family.

Training shouldn’t be an afterthought in labour hire - it should be the foundation.

In high-risk industries, the difference between simply filling a role and delivering real value often comes down to how well workers are prepared before they ever step on-site.

We’ve shared our thoughts on why training is what truly sets great labour hire apart - and how an integrated approach can improve safety, consistency, and performance across every project.
