๐จ Heads up, Queensland construction businesses ๐จ
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) has announced a statewide compliance campaign commencing February 2026, with inspectors focusing on falling object risks across construction sites - including cranes, scaffolding, formwork, EWPs and precast activities
These campaigns arenโt about โgotchaโ moments, theyโre about ensuring risks are properly identified, controlled and documented before someone is seriously injured. But make no mistake: enforcement action will be taken where safety duties arenโt met.
Now is the time to:
โ๏ธ Review your risk assessments and SWMS
โ๏ธ Check exclusion zones, containment and housekeeping controls
โ๏ธ Ensure site documentation reflects whatโs actually happening on site
If youโre unsure whether your systems, documentation or site controls would stand up to scrutiny, SafeAssure supports contractors and builders to prepare with confidence, through practical audits, gap analysis and no-nonsense advice that reflects real site conditions (not just paperwork).
Preparation beats pressure - every time.
