🌿 International Women’s Day 2026

Today I’m celebrating the extraordinary women who lead change in their communities every day.

Through my work at BlueWren Connections, I have the privilege of walking alongside women across rural, regional and urban communities who are stepping forward with courage, compassion and determination. Women who convene conversations, build bridges, nurture relationships and quietly (and sometimes loudly!) create change where they live and work.

Community leadership isn’t about titles, often it’s about showing up, listening deeply, supporting others and believing that together we can create stronger, more connected communities.

Today I’m grateful for the many women I learn from, collaborate with and call friends. Thank you for your wisdom, your resilience and your willingness to lead with both head and heart.

Let’s keep backing women, lifting each other up, and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.

What lifts you up when times are tough?

That’s the question we explored with farmers, livestock transporters, agents, small landholders, and community members across the District Council of Grant.

We gathered in saleyards sharing stories, laughs, and reminders of what keeps us going through drought and difficulty.

✅ Pets, creativity, and connection

Together, we named the simple, powerful things that matter connection, mindset, nature, movement, and purpose.
