Something different this time, a full custom theme playfield based on Night of the Living Dead 🧟 Done in black and white to match the film.

Worked with Holly, an artist in the UK, who was commissioned to create the playfield and cabinet artwork. I supplied the outlines, dimensions and specs for her to work from, then handled the cutlines and bleeds to get it print ready.

Full strip job on this Indiana Jones playfield, owner originally asked about a touch-up, but once I looked over the photos it was clear the wear was too spread out and heavily planked to spot-fix. Back to bare wood it went.
Full artwork restoration, reassembly, clear coat, and the mini playfield got the same treatment to match. See less

This Creature From the Black Lagoon playfield actually came back to me. I'd restored it for a previous owner a while back, and it's since changed hands.

The new owner spotted that the artwork wasn't quite right - turned out it was a repro, and the brown layer had been missed in a few spots (including the girl's hair), the barcode was left blank, and the "FILM" wording had some small errors too.

Went through and corrected all of it. New video and photos up showing the fixes 🔧 as well as the photos!

Edit: The topless girl was a custom request from a previous owner, not part of the repro issue. The repro fault was a missing brown layer (hair, other areas) and a missing barcode.

Getting every detail right on this Haunted House playfield 🎯, after clearing, Two numbers on two of the inserts needed adding in, so it was back for another touch-up round.

Sanded back the clear, added the numbers, then re-cleared and re-sanded to blend it all back in perfectly.

New video and photos up showing the result - sometimes the best restores need one extra pass to get it exactly right.

Just a few jobs nearing completion.
(Haunted house, I had to re-do as I missed two insert numbers, doh)

Another playfield back from the dead, this Haunted House playfield went right back to bare wood before getting a full artwork restoration. 👻
Same process as my other restores: strip it all back, repair the surface, recreate the artwork, and bring it back better than ever.
