unter Valley, Australia. Whispering Brook is located amongst the natural beauty of the Broke area, and is a boutique, family owned winemaking business developed by Susan Frazier and Adam Bell to turn a passion into reality - making premium wines. Red wines are produced from the highly prized terra rossa soils on the property - whilst the sandy loam soils located near the Wollombi Brook are ideal for producing premium white wines. The Wollombi Brook borders one end of the property and is the inspiration for the name Whispering Brook, with its many whispering Casuarina trees lining the sand banks of the brook. Another feature of the property is the sweeping view of the spectacular mountains of the Hunter Valley which provide a panoramic backdrop to our vineyard and cellar door. The vineyard and cellar door are complemented by a charming olive grove and country house accommodation. We invite you to take some time out, soak up the atmosphere, enjoy premium wine and olive products and experience all the Hunter Valley has to offer with a visit to Whispering Brook.

Especially Adam, who alongside Susan has raised two daughters here at Whispering Brook - where vineyard life, harvest and winemaking have always been part of the family story.

A little recognition for a wine we’re very proud of🍷

Our 2019 Touriga Nacional was selected among the top six wines in Young Gun of Wine blind tasting of Australian Touriga Nacional.

The judges particularly enjoyed the wine’s developed character and ageing potential, with Crowley describing it as:

“Immediately savoury, opening with woodsmoke, dried oregano, leather, sage alongside sour cherries and ripe black plums.”

And Déak summed it up simply:

“Very enjoyable and a little different on the palate. It’s a yes from me!”

It’s always rewarding to see a variety we’ve championed here at Whispering Brook recognised for what makes it so unique.

Winter has been all about the quieter moments 🍂
