Healthier caramel slice recipe incoming!!! To🍫🥜

I don't know about you but the traditional caramel slice is so sweet and not something I want to be consuming regularly. The Thermomix makes an amazing traditional caramel slice so do try it!

But, today I want to share with you my healthier caramel slice. I made it over a year ago and to be honest I forgot about it. I know I know, but I make so many different things and with three little kids my life is busy!

The layers -
A almond shortbread
A date PB caramel
Organic additive free chocolate top!

I remade it this week so watch out for the reel. We ate some of it before we put the chocolate on top and then ate more of it before I got the chance to take some footage! It's that good 😊.

Slice it into squares and store it in the freezer for a scrumptious treat or store in the fridge.

Blueberry pie was a hit! 🫐

Last week we had the privilege of visiting We came home with two huge buckets of blueberries. We invited our friends over for pie because a dessert like this must be shared 🙊

all-buttah pie dough. Two 2 sec turbo is it all needs when using the Thermomix to combine.

One thing I hear previous model customers say "the arms take too long to open". Upgrade to the TM7 and remove the lid with ease!

Next reel will be how easy it is to assemble and disassemble the TM7 bowl. Game changer!

Can you make mash potato in a Thermomix?

Yes, yes you can! But save this post for some tips.

Check out the 'no fail mash potato' recipe on Cookidoo.

Here's what I do -
∆ The recipe calls for 550g. I regularly use 800g or even double! This means you need to increase the time. Add 3 mins if using 800g or add another 6 mins if using double.
∆ Make sure all the pieces are cut small and the same size!
∆ If using sweet potato, aim for approx 30-40% of the recipe. Use even a touch less water while cooking at sweet potato has more water content.
∆ I also use water instead of milk. I only use about 80% of the volume as water though. Because...
∆ At the end I add a splash or two or three of milk.
∆ I also use the butterfly whisk to help it whip up. The recipe doesn't call for it, but if you are doubling I definitely find it needs it to help mix/whip evenly.
∆ Most importantly, don't over mix it! I actually find 20 seconds as per the recipe is too long. Mix with butterfly for 8 seconds. Scrape down and repeat 5 seconds if needed.

It was only the other day I heard many restaurants use multiple Thermomixes to make restaurant quality mash potato.
