on a sunnier day in Sydney riding a 5’9” Bud model. ‘The Bud’ is a performance good wave board based off ‘The Lucid Eye’ but with a touch less tail rocker, rd tail shape and increased (a touch) nose rocker. Features a subtle quad concave entry blending into a double within a slight single concave in the belly, which then transitions into a slightly deeper double concave between the front fins and finally the ‘subtlest’ of vee off the tail of the board. As the board increases in size and is used in larger more powerful surf the concaves and dimensions are adjusted accordingly until finally the concave transitions into full blown vee bottom and the overall characteristics of the board are strengthened and alas! ‘The Bud’ transitions into a Pygmy Rhino.

5’11” x 21 1/4” x 2 3/4” - 36.5L Wombi Fish w// dirty pastel blue bottom x light cyan deck with pre-lam wavy deck patches in teal tinted epoxy resin. Highest quality PU core with red-cedar stringer provided by and glass provided by fellow Sydney based company

5’6” x 19 1/4” x 2 7/16” - 28L PAM PAM - A new model we’ll most likely ‘officially’ release in 2022 along with our new website. Main features are the obvious ridiculous but not too ridiculous outline. Low(ish) overall rocker with a touch of extra bee in the tail, not too dissimilar to most of our other models. The result of such features creating a very lively, rather loose and extremely responsive board in relation to sharp turning. A predicament faced by most competent surfers especially along our beautiful eastern coastline here in Australia as well as across the same ocean to California and basically any small the medium beach break wave. Oh also worth noting this model of course has mantis upgrade with extra foam forward making it super easy to paddle into waves and increasing forward protection when up and riding…yes swing va weight issues are mitigated during lamination process. The time has finally come around again where we have gotten to the point of needing to cleanse the racks in our recently renovated (2020) showroom in our original Brookvale factory. Trio of customs for long time US customer Brent.

(L-R) 5’9” GhostFlex Rapture, 5’7” Wombi Fish and 5’10” Lucid Eye, the latter both multi-layered high quality PU blank w//3mm red-cedar stringer with epoxy laminate and finish.

Our custom Sydney based MFG facility now powered by the sun and sourcing our blanks from a stones throw away , our fiberglass from a much further stones through away on the other side of Sydney and our epoxy resin from Queensland, AUS.
