Trust resolutions need to be signed and documented before 30 June. If it's not done in time, the ATO can tax that income at the highest rate of 45%, or distribute it to beneficiaries you didn't intend 🤯

✅ Usually yes: business travel, equipment, home office, software, training
❌ Usually no: personal expenses, entertainment, anything you don't have a receipt for

Great news for everyday workers! 🎉

The Australian Government has proposed a new $1,000 standard tax deduction, set to kick in from 1 July 2026. This means no more keeping every receipt for small work expenses. Plus, you can still claim on top of this for things like investment expenses, charitable donations, and union fees. And if your work-related expenses are over $1,000, the current system still applies, so you won't lose out!

Did you know you could lower your tax bill AND grow your super at the same time? 🙌

If you make an extra contribution to your super before 30 June, you might be able to claim it as a tax deduction! It's one of those smart strategies that you may miss out on simply because you didn't know about it.
