Hi everyone
It would seem that there is a greater need for this information at this time with more people working from home so I'm going to start sharing more and encouraging you to do the same.
If you have a great tip, something that has helped you, then it can likely help someone else.

This week. Attitude.
Deciding to work from home, the shed, the caravan out the back, the front porch or wherever you find yourself is just the first step.

How are you going to get things done? You don't want to just sirens time spinning your wheels. The garden is calling, the kettle, fridge etc are adding their voices. You need to know what you are doing and why.
Sit down, think about what you need to do, list out the steps, acquire what you need then start ticking.
Plan your breaks. Just as you would if at work.
Yes you can have coffee and toilet breaks, but they don't involve social browsing, making calls and you don't need a 20 minute break every half hour.

Look at giving yourself rewards for getting things done.
If you are earning can you order takeaway dinner from a local business.
Sit outside and have a cuppa.
Bubble bath
Read a chapter
Watch a favourite show...

When running a small business on the side wherever you are being able to plan and track your time is very helpful. I set myself goals for training, tasks, accounting and anything else that needs to be done.
If they are regular I use Google tasks that are scheduled each week, it might be 3 hours a week to study, or half hour a week to do bank feed. By using task tracking it is in my calendar and I mark off when done.
For short term things I create appointments, eg 7-9 Monday do outline for planner in Canva.
I find it really motivating because I get things done, it is easy for me to see what needs to be done and I can look back and see I'm making progress.
I love ticking things of my to do list,
I also love seeing results

What about you? Do you have a way that you teach tags that you would like to share?

Business in a bag
To work from anywhere you need to be prepared. This is a combination of mindset, having a plan plus having a few basic materials.
Today there is something to add to my bag. A pair of ear buds. On my to do list was to watch a tutorial about using Canva. Toddler asleep in pram. Ordered pot of chai tea. Ready to go. Too much background noise and can't hear. Not a disaster as I airways have a few options to work on so added earbuds to my list and went back to pen and paper.

Hello
I have been on maternity leave. Now my beautiful girl is 12 months old and getting more mobile I'm getting back into my work ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜€
It is all about planning and organisation. More than ever it is making use of opportunities. Half an hour between appointments and Bubba sheep in car or pram. Time for a cuppa and tick a few things of the list.
For me three emails. A phone call and now catch up on social media.
I'm doing lots of meetups with other mums and getting great ideas on how to get things done. I will be sharing here.
Do you have a tip. Something that works well for you, or a recommendation of what not to do. Please post below.
Have a great day

Be Prepared
The most valuable thing in any business is time. It is always the most limited resource and you cannot get more of it. You can value it and use it well.
You find yourself waiting somewhere for ten minutes, picking kids up from school, getting a key cut, car not ready from service... What do you do?
You can take a break, read a chapter, listen to a podcast, make a phone call, pay bills, sort receipts...
I have a list of jobs in my calender and in Google keep. Whenever I have a space I go this list. That way I don't waste time thinking and I get that lift from getting something else done.
Do you have any tips on how to use spare moments?

Advise is everywhere. Ted talks can be a great place to start. They are also great to download and catch up on when waiting or traveling.
My recent train trip was a great opportunity to catch up on some ted talks and podcasts

Ever dreamed of starting your own business? These talks can help get your idea off the ground.

I live Ted talks. Not sure what you want to do. Have a look at this one

Environment is a key
One of the key pillars to a successful business is environment. That is all parts of your environment, the building, the office space, the desk, the equipment you use, what you eat and drink and the people you interact with.
Today I am working at The Generator. Lots of space, good sturdy tables, internet, good lighting, and others working alongside. A great atmosphere. Everyone here is here because they want to be.
I have to set a reminder for lunch though, otherwise I work through then become grouchy and inefficient in the afternoon.
I have great day working because I make it that way. What helps you to be productive, efficient and have fun while working?
