🚨 TAKE ACTION NOW – HELP STOP THE NUCRUSH OXENFORD QUARRY EXPANSION 🚨
The Queensland Government has stepped in to stop the proposed Boral Reedy Creek quarry and remove its Key Resource Area designation.
The same should happen at Oxenford.
In many respects, the Nucrush proposal is even more concerning:
🏠 Blasting as close as 160 metres from homes
📏 Far short of the recommended 1,000 metre buffer
⛏️ Excavation to RL -110 metres (much deeper than Reedy Creek)
⛏️ Excavation up hillside (over 80m high) - Highly Visible
🌏 Approximately 55 hectares of extraction area
📅 A 100+ year development affecting generations of residents
📢 1,350 community objections
❌ Refused by the City of Gold Coast
Please take two minutes to email Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie and ask him to:
1️⃣ Call in the Nucrush application and appeal
2️⃣ Reject the proposal in the public interest
3️⃣ Remove Key Resource Area 68 (KRA 68)
