We couldn't have asked for a better day for our first Southpac social event of the year. ☀️

With Kirra Beach as our backdrop, the crew enjoyed a great afternoon on Friday catching up with colleagues from across the group.

We missed those who couldn't make it, but for those that could, we made the most of our rare time together.

It also gave us an excuse to celebrate a few special Southpac work anniversaries, including our Lead Auditor Ben Hilditch who hit 6 years with Southpac in February, an amazing 8 years for our wonder woman, Kiri Tareha, and the big 10 for our incredible David Munns, who has trained more auditors in the southern hemisphere over the last decade than anyone would dare to count.

We’ve partnered with Digital Realty to advance their global health and safety strategy, Safely Powering Progress.

Launching their new Safety Leadership Program with the first cohort of leaders in APAC last month, together we’re building on Digital Realty's longstanding commitment to safety leadership excellence.

Exploring themes that sit at the core of progressive safety leadership, this program brings the reality of work into focus – using conversation, care and empowering change to create the conditions for more resilient performance.

Looking forward to continuing this journey with more Digital Realty teams across EMEA and the US in the coming months, and seeing the impact unfold in the day-to-day realities of their work.

Last week, our Director of Safety Innovation, Daniel Hummerdal, travelled to London to present to the Global Production Safety Crew at Netflix.

This extraordinary team oversees safety across Netflix’s studios and sets worldwide – a space where creativity, complexity, and care intersect daily.

Daniel challenged the group to move safety beyond prescription and compliance efforts, and instead explore how safety can emerge from the way work is designed, led, and supported. They explored how reframing safety in this way doesn’t dilute accountability, but deepens understanding, strengthens relationships, and creates the conditions for people to do their best work, safely.

We’re honoured to contribute to this journey, helping shape a more curious, collaborative, and human-centred future for safety at Netflix.

A great week in Auckland taking our participants through the practical application of and in our 3 day course with Tim Fitch.
