Queensland landlords: is your rental property’s smoke alarm setup compliant?

Rental properties have required compliant interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms since 1 January 2022. The 2027 deadline isn’t an extension for landlords.

Before a new or renewed tenancy, remember to:

✅ Test and clean every alarm within the preceding 30 days
✅ Check alarm placement and interconnection
✅ Replace faulty alarms and those reaching 10 years from manufacture

Starting bright and early at 6:30am, we welcomed contractors throughout the morning with bacon & egg muffins before switching things up with a kebab van over lunch!

With a constant flow of contractors from start to finish, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our PSA fire safety and security solutions and have some valuable one-on-one conversations.
