The bee hive detail is a nod to the awe inspiring organisation of bees. There's perfection in nature, and us humans could learn a lot instead of trying to control it.
I'm anaphylactic to bees and have had a near death experience. The bee hive is a reminder of that experience and how it brought into focus what really matters to me: relationships and experiences.
I've organised my health, mental and physical, so that I feel confident getting back into the outdoors, enjoying new experiences with people I choose.
Just like a bee colony. organisation is a delicate balance that changes with the ebbs and flows of life.
So yes I go into homes and organise closets and toy rooms, but more importantly I help the client organise their thoughts, of what matters (hint: its you and your wellbeing) and gently remind them of boundaries and priorities. When clutter becomes a problem, it can be caused from the erosion of both. We prioritise objects over our own feelings and wellbeing. Our boundaries are pushed to accept that more of everything is better. But that's just capitalism talking.
The beehive is also a reminder for me to get out and see the bees, to notice the small things, to take time to be in nature which is so restorative.
