REFLECTION ON BALANCE AND GROWTH. For 2 years since a cancer diagnosis smacked me in the butt I have consistently and faithfully maintained a routine of movement, running, yoga, nourishing myself with healthy food, supplementing, deep diving into cancer prevention , rebuilding my body and mind as well as my clinical counselling practise, deepening relationships and connecting to my spiritual faith. Lately I have felt the stirrings of needing to kick my own butt….. to get out of the cocoon of safety, comfort and routine. I remember that the wild seas of pain, discomfort, the unpleasantness of sludgy sensations brings growth and confidence, new insights and possibilities.
My nervous system is calm and balanced and now needs a little stretch to expand and build resilience. The push pull between harmonious balance and the necessity of emotional growth.
