Today was something truly special.
Our Biggest Morning Tea at The ReStore Space in Serpentine brought together more than 50 wonderful guests, filling the stunning venue with creativity, connection and a real sense of community.

Throughout the morning, we moved gently between clay tray making with Rachel from Hazel Ceramics, painting daffodils with Louise from Daisy-Lou Wildflower Art potting arrangements with Leah from ReStore Space, and learning the art of buttercream piping with Hannalie from Thermomix.

A heartfelt thank you to Lisa for the incredible work she put in behind the scenes, today simply wouldn’t have come together without her. Thank you also to Marie and Naomi for so generously sharing their stories, and to Leah for creating such a beautiful, welcoming space for us to gather in.

We’re deeply grateful to our financial sponsors:
Sandy (Redgum Accounting),
Lauren (FNR Landscapes),
Sharlene (EverSharp Finance - Mortgage Broker - Sharlene Gratte),
Matthew (Matthew Scott for Serpentine - Jarrahdale),
Tasch (Byford Therapy Collective),
Siobhan (Busy Hands Cleaning Company), and of course Hugh Jones MLA.
From venue to catering and ensuring all of the little 'bits' are thought of, these events are not possible without community support, so THANK YOU ❤️

To our raffle donors, our caterers, and every person who joined us today - thank you for bringing your warmth, your energy and your generosity. You helped create a morning that felt calm, joyful and full of heart.

Together, we raised $1,012 today, gently surpassing our overall $1,000 goal!

Hello Mums & Dads…is there a side hustler or mini entrepreneur living under your roof?

Well we have a little opportunity for them.

We’re inviting local youth (18 & under) who are running a small biz, building a side hustle or sitting on an idea they can’t stop thinking about to jump into our brand new Youth Category at Pitch Perfect

And before anyone thinks they’re “too young”...
Last year’s overall Pitch Perfect winner was under 18 🙌
Yep. Really.

So we decided to open up a new category and give the Youth their own platform - we have seen first hand so many local young people quietly building cool things behind the scenes and running little businesses.

This is their chance to step up, back themselves and pitch their idea in front of real local business leaders.

They’ll get to:
🔥 Pitch their idea or business
🔥 Get support and guidance along the way
🔥 Meet local mentors
🔥 Compete for cash prizes + recognition
🔥 Build serious confidence

Spaces are strictly limited. Parent or Guardian permission required.

There’s something pretty special about taking networking out of a meeting room and into nature 🌿

Tuesday’s Walk & Talk along the Whim Trail in Jarrahdale was full of genuine conversations, shared stories and meaningful connections between members of Business SJ, PCCI and Byford Co.Lab (Connect).

No pressure, no awkward formalities, just local business owners slowing down, walking side-by-side and actually getting to know each other.

Huge thank you to Tracy Jones from Off The Beaten Track WA for leading the way, Lisa from Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale for organising, Connect Business Community members Kate from Commonsight and Linda from Bistro by the Dam and everyone who came along open and ready to connect 👣

Missed this one? Save the date for the next Walk & Talk:
📅 Thursday 10 September | 9.30am–11.30am
Registrations opening soon.
