When the sun goes down my kitchen goes red.
Circadian lighting, light bulbs that shift to red at sunset has to be one of the simplest biohacks I’ve added to my home.
Here’s what it actually does.
Blue light after sunset tells your brain it’s still daytime. Cortisol stays elevated. Melatonin can’t rise. Your nervous system stays switched on when it needs to be coming down.
Red light does the opposite. It signals safety. It tells your body the day is done. Melatonin starts rising. Your nervous system begins to regulate.
