Before & After – Front Entry Upgrade

I gave this entryway a serious facelift! Out with the old oval stained-glass double doors and in with a sleek black double-door with slat glass panels.

Upgrades included:
🔨Transition from traditional timber/oval glass to a clean, modern style
🔨Installation of digital keyless entry system for convenience and security
🔨Addition of a large vertical pull handle for a bold, contemporary finish

This transformation delivers improved street appeal, functionality, and security — all in one project.

Now this home has a fresh, secure, and stylish entrance that makes a huge first impression.

Before & After Transformation

Out with the old, in with the bold!
I replaced this tired, plain front door with a custom carved timber door featuring detailed paneling and stained glass.

Not only does it lift the street appeal, but it also adds character, warmth, and value to the home.

What I did:
🔨Removed the worn-out basic door
🔨 Prepped and painted the carved timber door
🔨 Installed a new carved timber door with stained glass detail including replacing the basic home lock with a digital coded door handle for added security
🔨 Finished with a protective stain for long-lasting durability

The result? A stunning entryway that makes a statement before you even step inside.

Been busy this week on a joint project with the owners...
This is quiet the way to reduce furniture and maximise space.

TKU Carpentry took care of all the construction and fitting out including LED lighting to enhance the storage/display spaces.
The owners took some painting pointers and advice and chose to complete the painting themselves...

This project turned an everyday loungeroom into something the guests are sure to talk about and owners are sure to see value from.

Recently I spent sometime near the ocean renovating an existing outdoor space with limited functionality into an open deck with steps that create additional seating for entertaining or sitting by the pool in the sun after a dip..

Stage 2 booked for restoration of the existing deck and a door replacement to complete this home owners visions.

Custom work.... Not a problem
This home was a joint effort by a number of trades to turn an old worn home into something modern and spectacular.

TKU did a number of jobs on this project including this seating that is pieced together individually and shaped to sit flush with the wall.

Garden walls leading around to the feature piece that lines the front of the home.
