🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE: Arrival Control Determination (Effective 26 March 2026) 🚨

An Arrival Control Determination will come into force from 26 March 2026 for a period of six (6) months, under the Migration Amendment (2026 Measures No. 1) Act 2026.

📌 Who does this affect?
This determination applies only to individuals who are OUTSIDE Australia and hold a Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) linked to an Iranian passport.

❗ Who is NOT affected?
The determination does NOT apply to:
✔️ Individuals already in Australia at the time the determination commenced
✔️ Spouse, de facto partners, or dependent children of:
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents,
Eligible New Zealand citizens (not subject to time limitations)
✔️ Parents of a child under 18 who is already in Australia
✔️ Individuals holding a valid Permitted Travel Certificate
✔️ Anyone holding any other type of visa

💡 This measure grants the Minister the authority to manage entry in order to protect the integrity and security of Australia’s migration system.
