We are looking for an experienced and proactive Town Planner and Local Government Advisor to join our Cairns and Atherton team. You will have the opportunity to provide development assessment and strategic planning advice relating to major development projects and strategic planning and local government policy. You will support new and existing relationships with clients and contribute to the overall growth of our business.

You will be an integral part of our a small and highly functional team and will be involved in business expansion and marketing opportunities.

The role is supported by a highly experienced Directors and a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment to refine your skills and grow your career.

You will be:

Providing advanced statutory and strategic planning advice including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans and the approval process and management.

Managing medium to large size projects including scoping, costing of projects and formulating tender responses.

Maintaining and growing strong client relationships

Providing advice on Local Government policy and strategic projects across a range of subject areas.

Assisting in the management of day to day workloads and client communication.

Experienced and proactive Town Planner and Local Government Advisor.

A great step towards seeing this space used as it was intended!!

The Esplanade Dining Precinct roadway will be closed to general traffic, councillors have voted today.

The roadway will remain open to commercial vehicles and limited to a 10km/h speed limit.

These changes will be implemented between Shields and Aplin streets following a notification period and installation of the required signage.

Following the reopening of the Esplanade Dining Precinct roadway to traffic in July, Council implemented a 20km/h speed limit pending a review once traffic and trade return to normal.

The now-completed review notes support from traders for a lowering of the speed limit to 10km/h, as well as the prohibition of general traffic.

The option to close the road completely for events also remains.

The Queensland Police Service has also sided with the view of council officers that the changes will improve pedestrian safety.

Today we are feeling grateful!

6 months in and we reached a milestone of over 100 projects with over 50 individual project partners.

Thank you to our strategic partners at ARO Industries and Planz Town Planning who believe in collaboration as much as we do.

We are working with client partners from the Torres Strait to the Gold Coast and we welcome our client partners in NSW and Victoria who want to invest in QLD...particularly (and very close to our hearts) Regional QLD.

Thank you to our Local Government partners for recognising our passion for Local Government, commitment to strong policy, connection with community, and integrity in our approach.

I want to personally welcome Peter Boyd to our team. My friend, colleague, trusted advisor and the real brains behind the outfit. What he doesn't know about properties in Cairns is probably not worth knowing!!

We had a pizza picnic at the new Cairns Esplanade Dining Precinct this evening. Thank you to the team at Villa Romana Cairns. 🍕🍕🍕

The city was humming. Plenty of families in the park and the restaurants and bars were full.

The atmosphere was completed by the multicultural festival in the parklands.

It is also a personal moment of pride to see this project come to fruition having been involved since its inception.

Congratulations to Amy Eden - Div. 5 Councillor, Cairns Regional Council for her tireless efforts in advocating for this project and continuing to champion it throughout construction.

Kelly Reaston Development & Property Services would like to genuinely thank and acknowledge the wonderful staff at Cairns Regional Council and their contractors for delivering this quality project. You are superstars.

If you haven't seen it, make the trip up to Cairns and check it out!! It is a great example of place making and BONUS ...the weather is perfection this time of year.

Our vote is to keep the road closed!! After all, people spend more than cars!
