I am passionate about living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and here I will share with you my journey from unhealthy, no energy, sick etc, to exercising and eating the rights wholesome foods in order to achieve my optimum health. I'll also share tips on how the Thermomix has helped me along the way. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2005 and have maintained a gluten free diet for many y
ears. I also suffered from intense reflux that didn't go away even though I stuck to a gluten free diet. After years of testing and working with many Gastroenterologists I had a laparoscopic nissen fundoplication (keyhole procedure to tighten my oesophagus), to hopefully stop the reflux. After that failed I was then 'diagnosed' with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). It was never ending! My doctor then suggested I follow a low FODMAP diet as he figured the true cause of reflux was due to my diet. I then began to go about things the natural way, by taking the advice of a naturopath. I was beginning to lose faith as nothing was working, though things started changing once I focussed on my diet and I was feeling better then ever. I am passionate about health and fitness and although I haven't studied anything officially, I've learnt how to manage my reflux and digestion issues through my diet. I know there are lots of people out there with gut health issues so I'd like to share my experiences in hope that I can help others to achieve their optimum health. Now with a beautiful family to take care of, I want to ensure I'm serving them the best food to fuel their bodies too. Not to mention the lack of time I have to do this in, though i'll never slip back into my old habits. The Thermomix has really helped me get to where I am today, in more ways then one. From meal prep, cooking from scratch, to saving time and dollars on the grocery bill, all just being the icing on the cake, literally! The Thermie has sure been my life saver:)
