Have you seen these signs displayed in front of development sites before?

These signs are part of the Public Notification process required for IMPACT Assessable developments.

When a development triggers Impact Assessment under the Planning Scheme, the proposal must undergo a formal public notification period. This process helps ensure the community and neighbouring properties are informed about the proposed development and provides an opportunity for the public to review the application material and make a submission if they choose.

Public Notification is an important step in the development approvals process and requires careful coordination to ensure legislative requirements are met.

Urban Sync attended the FNQ Regional Plan Industry Briefing at Riley, Crystalbrook.

It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, Jarrod Bleijie MP, outlining the government's vision for the Far North Queensland region.

The event also featured a panel discussion with Darlene Irvine (CEO of FNQROC), Peta Harwood (Deputy Director - General and State Planner of Dept. State Development, Infrastructure and Planning), Mayor Amy Eden and Nathan Lee Long (Cairns Branch President of UDIA Queensland).

We appreciate the chance to be part of this important conversation about the future of our region.
