10 years ago, I started Ignite Solutions from a tiny, cluttered desk at home. No business plan. No MBA. Just an idea.
And just like that, as of August 1, 2026, Ignite Solutions officially turns 10 years old. What started as ad-hoc consulting projects has grown into two arms: Managed Services, helping small-to-medium businesses with proactive IT management, cybersecurity and tech strategy; and Consulting, where we specialise in data integration and insights, fan engagement and marketing automation for A-level sporting clubs.
I wanted to build a firm that was different to your run-of-the-mill IT service provider - one that valued trust, intelligence and expertise and always put our customers first. 10 years on, that still resonates with our clients today.
One massive personal highlight was undoubtedly our trip to the USA in late 2024. Alongside leaders from some of our NRL clubs and our colleagues from TwoCircles, we visited sporting clubs, leagues and venues across the US from New York to San Francisco and LA. Sitting down with the NBA's data team in Manhattan, Russell and his team at the New York Giants, the entire commercial team at the Golden State Warriors in San Fran, along with so many others - those were genuinely money-can't-buy experiences.
We're incredibly honoured to have been able to work with some brilliant people all over Australia during this time, with so many of them still ongoing clients. Our focus on cultivating long-term relationships based on trust and respect is something that I'm immensely proud of, and is something worth celebrating.
And celebrate we did!
A massive thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday night and joined us in Cairns on the very night of our anniversary. I wish we had taken more photos of the night, but I was obviously far too engrossed in talking to everyone! The night was less a celebration of us and more an opportunity for us to say a sincere Thank You in person to everyone who has supported us over the past decade. It's not an exaggeration to say that we are only still here because of your ongoing trust in us. That's something we take incredibly seriously, and we'll always work to prove that we're worthy of that.
We've got some exciting plans that we're working on in the background, and we can't wait to share them with you as they come to light. I cannot wait for the next 10 years!
