A little game I like to call: spot your own Time Tax. 🕵️‍♀️

Swipe through. If you nodded at 3 or more, you're paying it and it’s probably more than you think.

The sneaky part? Not one of these feels worth fixing on its own. "It's just a couple of minutes." But a couple of minutes, forty times a week, fifty weeks a year… that's the tax. And it's compounding.

There’s a tax you don’t know about but you’re probably paying 🧾

It’s not GST, you don’t pay it to the government and it’s not something your accountant needs to know about.

It’s the Time Tax. The hours your clunky systems quietly skim off your time every week.

Re-typing the same onboarding email.
Sending and chasing invoices.
Booking client appointments.

None of it feels like a big deal on its own. But add it up across a year? That’s a holiday’s worth of hours. Gone 😪

Here’s the thing nobody tells you: you’re not too busy for better systems. You’re busy because you don’t have them.

You can be fully booked and still be barely profitable.

Nobody tells you that part.

If every new client just creates more manual work, more emails to type, more quotes to build from scratch, more deposits to chase, then you're scaling your effort, not your business.

Stylists and designers with 10+ jobs a month and no systems is often netting less than the one with 5 jobs and streamlined admin.

Those unbilled hours, the forgotten follow-ups, the late invoices? They don't show up on your instagram feed, but they absolutely show up in your bank account.

here's a quick check:
how long did it take you to quote your jobs this month?
how many times did you have to chase a deposit?
how many admin hours did you work that you'll never bill for?

The goal is never booked and busy, it's booked with breathing room.

You’ve finally done it 🤩

You’ve signed up for Dubsado to reclaim your time and sanity 🌪️

Software alone won't fix a clunky process ❌

Dubsado is incredibly powerful, but out of the box, it’s just an empty shell. It doesn't know how you run your styling business.

The systems in my business mean more to me now than they ever have.

Coming off maternity leave, My time is more valuable than it’s ever been.

My boundaries are more important to me.

I don’t have hours and hours to be sitting on the computer doing admin.

That time needs to be spent doing my client work to bring in income for my family.

Everything has become so much clearer in my business. I want to be doing the work that I love in the small amount of time that I have.

Which to me looks like moving away from servicing everyone and narrowing down on my favourite industry to work in.

I want to enjoy every second I have working with clients that bring me so much joy.

Same same, but better 👀

Oh hey, it's me Amy just bursting out of the shadows of my maternity leave 👶🏻

When I rebranded in 2024 I never thought that by early 2025 I would put everything on hold and take a year off, but here we are.

Still here, still a certified specialist and working with incredible clients.

BUT my capacity and work days look so much different now (and for the better!)
