To maximise recycling of commingled waste items remember to reduce contaminants. Rinse remaining materials from container, seperate lids and only place what your Council accepts in your area, no soft plastics or styrofoam for example

Remember that the attached are accepted under the Container Deposit Scheme, and if you download the TOMRA app you can setup bag drop, which means no more separation and individual placement in the machine, just place >50 containers (any ones accepted) scan barcode sticker using TOMRA bag drop, and stock on bag and place through window, walk away and you will receive a message when processed, too easy

The waste levy started this week which adds $75/tonne for general waste disposal for commercial waste. This is not passed into us in our rates as municipal waste is exempt, as is illegal dumping and disaster wastes.

You will pay more for any commercial waste, such as renovations, so consider what can be recycled before going in the skip. Red NEDS and other recyclers will colder suitable items for reuse. Take your scrap metals, in seperate containers, to a local metal recycled for cash, just need an ABN.

90% of waste in this wheely bin was recyclable at my workplace, does this apply to you at home as well?
