A sincere thank you to the Labour Mobility Unit Director and the entire LMU team for the invitation to attend the recent PNG Labour Mobility Forum.
It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from stakeholders, community leaders, employers, and support organisations who are working hard to ensure PNG workers participating in labour mobility programs are well supported while living and working in Australia.
The discussions highlighted both the successes of the program and the opportunities to strengthen engagement with the PNG diaspora, community leaders, and workers themselves. It was encouraging to see so many people committed to improving outcomes for workers and their families.
As someone who has worked closely with PNG communities across Australia and Papua New Guinea, I greatly appreciated the opportunity to contribute ideas and learn from the experiences shared throughout the forum.
Thank you again to the LMU team for your leadership, hospitality, and ongoing commitment to supporting PNG workers and building stronger connections between our two countries.
