Last Friday 21 July, some of our Elysium EPL staff and their partners attended the Australian Commando Association Australia - ACT Chapter fundraiser dinner at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

The event highlighted achievements of current and former veterans who have served with or supported Australian Commando units and the wider Special Operations community, following their transition from the ADF.

Attendees heard from Penelope Twemlow, who hosted the event alongside keynote speaker Brigadier (Rt’d) Ian Langford, PhD, DSC and Bars. Attendees were entertained by the RMC Band, and a number of silent and live auctions were held to raise money for the organisation.

It was a wonderful night for everyone involved!

National Diabetes Week 2023 acknowledges the challenges that some people have in gaining safe “Access to Diabetes Care”, which is this year’s theme.

With over 1.3 million Australians being diagnosed with diabetes each year, it is vital they have access to health care to better manage their condition. With our current and former Elysium EPL members living with diabetes, this cause has struck a chord with us.

In the blink of an eye, we are almost halfway through 2023! And what a start to the year we have had at Elysium EPL.

​We are incredibly proud to have been accredited Great Place to Work (again!) in April and were also thrilled to appoint a new Practice Lead for our Business Resilience and Protective Security stream.​

Very recently we were pleased to announce we have joined forces with the Defence Trailblazer program as a key industry player in developing leading-edge information solutions for the defence sector.​

We are proud to continue giving back to the community and local start-ups by sponsoring Academy Racing whilst maintaining our support for the local veteran community through, Soldier On Australia, ACT Vets Rugby and AFL Masters National sponsorships. We also became an Australian Red Cross LifeBlood team! ​

​We’re so proud of the achievements that have occurred over this period and are excited to see what the rest of 2023 will bring!

Last week, in response to the call from Red Cross, some of our fabulous Elysium EPL people rolled up their sleeves to “give blood and keep the world beating.”

Jean Pyke and Annabelle Chalker attended the Garran Red Cross Donor Centre on World Blood Donor Day – 14 June 2023 and Annabelle even celebrated a personal milestone of 25 donations! Great work Annabelle!

Furthermore, during World Blood Donor Week, we’re so pleased that Elysium EPL became a Lifeblood Team! Every drop counts!

Through , the Organisation seeks to raise awareness that regular blood donation is key to saving lives and to thank our voluntary, unpaid donors for their precious lifesaving gift.

To all the heroes including our very own Elysium EPL members who have graciously donated blood to save a life – we salute you!

This week is International Men’s Health Week with this year’s theme focusing on “Healthy Eating Habits”. ​

Three in four men are overweight or obese due to their sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits. More alarmingly, a whopping 12.1% of males, aged 55-64 years were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.​

This is a statistic that needs to be changed. To help change the narrative, our Elysium EPL male consultants, from all walks of life, engage in various activities such as AFL, hiking and swimming, and all place a high importance on healthy eating to keep fit.​

Elysium EPL places a great emphasis on looking after people’s health, whether it be mentally or physically, so they can become the best version of themselves, succeeding in both their professional and personal lives. ​

The Elysium EPL Canberra Team hosted an 'Australia's Biggest Morning Tea' today to raise funds for the Cancer Council, through Cancer Council ACT.

Cancer is one of the leading deaths in Australia where more than 25,000 people die each year. One in two Australian men and women will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 85.

This is a statistic that has sadly been experienced by some of our members who know or have a loved one that is suffering with, or have passed away from, cancer.

The Elysium EPL Canberra team were particularly proud to host today's event as it was the first time for the company and the Australia's Biggest Morning Tea's 30th Anniversary.

Elysium EPL’s Practice Lead for Capability Development Chris Clapton participated in the opening round of the Elysium EPL ‘Heart, Mind and Soul’ AFL Masters ACT in Ainslie last Friday night.

Chris scored the last goal for his team, Western Creek Wildcats, who were triumphant against Belconnen Magpies Masters AFL.

Elysium EPL and some of our EEPL kids want to wish all the EEPL mums a very happy mothers’ day! ​

Our supportive workplace allows our mums the opportunity to not only succeed professionally but also to have the work life balance where they can spend time with family and do things that they are passionate about! ​

We have women across the majority of our practices and streams of work, but they are also kicking butt in their personal lives in the biggest job of all – being a mum! ​
