If you are wondering where the web is going you are not alone. If you want to get an impression of where Web 4.0 might take us I recommend watching the 2013 movie Her. The main character Theodore has a relationship with his operating system that calls herself Samantha. He falls in love with her. If you are planning on grandchildren this movie might not please you. I don’t want to spoil the watching experience but needless to say artificial intelligence that can learn is capable of exceeding the intelligence of mere humans. I was left feeling uneasy that the high technology future we might imagine as utopian may just as easily be dystopian if forethought, clear and ethical thinking do not play a central role.

Digital disruption is here. Digital marketing managers have an important role in transforming businesses to ensure this change is successful.
