Project Spotlight: Restoring a Canberra Icon!

We’re proud to look back at our work with builder FDC on the AIS Arena—a Canberra icon and local sports hub for over 40 years!

In 2024, the legendary AIS Arena underwent a massive refurbishment, featuring full seating replacements, technical upgrades, state-of-the-art AV, overhauled chiller systems, and modern, accessible amenities.
Spanning 5,275 sqm (under that incredible 1,200-tonne suspended roof!), getting a site of this scale ready for the public required a serious team effort. Spec Services was thrilled to step in and deliver complete Construction Cleaning to take the venue from a busy build site to a spotless, event-ready space.

Our specialist team delivered:

Works to upgrade the iconic AIS Arena is underway with spectators and teams set to enjoy enhanced viewing and playing experiences when it reopens for community use next year.

The standout stadium seating will allow for a capacity of 4,600 seated spectators.
