Wow 100 drug tests conducted and 6 positive!
That is a very scary statistic!

Over the long weekend, officers conducted a series of high visibility operations throughout Canberra, focused on random breath tests, drug screen testing and general road safety.

Officers conducted more than 2,500 random breath tests and about 100 random drug tests. Five people were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, and six people were driving under the influence of illicit drugs.

Officers issued a further 48 traffic infringement notices and 13 cautions.

Police also attended an incident on Majura Avenue in Dickson after a car collided with a pole. The driver returned more than double the legal limit with a blood alcohol reading of 0.123. The man was served with an immediate suspension notice and will face court at a later date.

A 26-year-old Calwell man will face court today following an intentional collision in Monash yesterday.

The man approached a female former work colleague at a work place in Isabella Plains while in the possession of a large knife. The female and a work colleague left in two vehicles.

The man followed the two females, and when they stopped at a set of traffic lights the man intentionally collided with them, heavily damaging all three vehicles.
