I was having dinner with some mates a few weeks back when Steve, a liquidator, said something that pretty much stopped the table.
“My phone hasn’t stopped since July.”
And it’s always the same call.
Businesses that were otherwise staying afloat had been quietly borrowing their staff’s super to keep themselves that way.
The scary part?
By the time they call Steve, they’ve usually had about 18 months of warning signs they’ve ignored.
Usually hoping one big client would come along and solve everything.
Hope isn’t a cash flow strategy.
The earlier you can see the gap coming, the more options you have to actually do something about it.
