A repair quote is ready for your building. But when the item comes up at the owners meeting, too few owners are taking part for a decision to be made straight away.

A smaller group may still be able to make the decision under the current rules, but it generally cannot take effect for 28 days.

That can leave approved work waiting while residents continue dealing with the issue.

The ACT is considering changes that could help owners corporations make decisions and act on them sooner.

For most buildings, the proposed rules would lower the usual minimum participation from votes representing half the units to one-quarter. Votes sent in before a meeting could also help reach that minimum, and decisions made by a smaller group could take effect the next day, provided owners receive the required notice.

As our portfolio expands across the ACT, we're building out the team to match, bringing on new strata management, building management and operational support to keep pace with the buildings and communities we manage.

🥳 A huge shoutout to our team who showed up for Lifeline Canberra yesterday, lacing up for the to mark World Su***de Prevention Day.

The team walked 9km, one for each of the 9 lives lost to su***de every day in Australia, then headed off for a well-earned refresher to cool down.

This year they set out to raise $5,000 for Lifeline Canberra, and they smashed it, hitting 147% of target. Grateful to all our donors including Dedicated Fire, Higgins Canberra, Fairy, Maritex Commercial, and Avanti Cafe!

Thanks to everyone who showed up for it, whether that meant walking, donating, cheering the team on, organising the logistics, or just tolerating months of relentless fundraising reminders.

Property owners are increasingly targeted by scams that look legitimate, sound urgent, and arrive right when you'd expect a genuine strata communication.

Levy notices are a common target. They carry payment information, follow predictable schedules, and go out to hundreds of owners at once, which makes them useful cover for phishing, spoofing and payment redirection attempts.

At , we've taken steps to make our messages easier to identify. But technology only goes so far.

Knowing what to check before you act on a message is still one of the simplest ways to protect yourself.

Before paying any levy notice, verify the bank details match your last confirmed statement, and if anything feels off, call us directly rather than replying to the message.

🎉 Ten years with Eclipse.

231 units, managed since 13 July 2016. A building this size only runs smoothly with a stable, engaged Executive Committee, and that's exactly what we've had for ten years.

Some teams bond over coffee runs. This one bonds over lasagne, with VERY strong opinions on what makes a good one.

This year's hashtag bake-off brought out the best of the Vantage Strata team: a bit of friendly rivalry, a lot of taste-testing, and everyone invested in the outcome. It is a small tradition, but it says a lot about how this team works together, on and off the tools.
