Imagine the future: climate change has brought a tsunami to Australia's shore and devastated Sydney. People are crammed on to a narrower strip of land along the coast as inland has become too hot to live and produce food. New ways of living and working and growing food need to be developed.

World Designers emerge from this hellish landscape to create new communities from the ruins: reclaimed office building, underground, and under the sea. But their next big challenge is up for grabs: building the first community on the Moon: a possible sanctuary for climate refugees and humanity's step to leave Earth.

I tried to summon some humility but nah - can't do it. I am so proud of myself for this achievement! My first two full length novels have each earned five star reviews AND medals at Readers' Favorites. I am so grateful for the recognition of my work.

And these are self-published works. I had to back myself on these projects - no gatekeepers saying 'yay' or 'nay'. It was definitely a leap of faith to put this work out there in a crowded space.

I DID get help though! I invested in great editing support. The books are immeasurably better for it.

Here's what does humble me: leaders who chose to invest time and energy in reading my books and finding something valuable in it.

But more than that, I am constantly in deep gratitude and appreciation for leaders who take risks in their own work, who are courageous in making decisions, speaking up, and acting with moral fortitude.

Leadership is forever a tough gig.

You can hire an editor but you can't hire strength of character needed for tackling leadership challenges.

Here's to YOU, dear reader and dear leader, who steps up every day in pursuit of a better world.

You inspire me to be a better human. Thank you!
