Since it's establishment in 1973, Bryton Wool saw many changes until 1992 when Geoffrey and Sue Beath entered the business and it has now evolved to be one of the leading Central NSW based wool marketing organisations , expanding quickly through the 1990's it saw the opening of a Store at Young with Dave Walsh servicing the needs of Young and district growers. Macarr Wools of Crookwell was purchased in 2000 and became Bryton Wool Crookwell. In 2010, Peter Maher Wool Services, Forbes became an agent for Bryton Wool. With these four stores, Bryton Wool covers the needs of growers from Goulburn and Tumut in the south, Condobolin, Cobar, Forbes and Parkes in the west, Yeoval, Wellington and Euchareena in the north to Oberon and Burraga in the east. In covering such a wide area and client base, Bryton Wool handled over 25,000 bales in 2017. Bryton Wool's success in the wool industry is due to a committed and dedicated approach to their clients, a continued push for expansion, old style values and keeping technology up to date in an advancing industry. Bryton Wool's main objective is to provide a local access point together with many competitive methods of handling greasy wool. This has been achieved through the utilisation of the 4 warehouses located strategically throughout the central/southern regions of NSW. With the changes to the industry over the years and wool production in Australia declining, the original concept of handling the clip close to the point of production applies more than ever. Today, Bryton Wool operates from four centres - Canowindra, Crookwell, Young and Forbes employing 15 full time and 4 casual staff. Bryton Wool is a member of the Australian Wool Exchange, Private Treaty Wool Merchants of Australia and a foundation member of the Inland Wool brokers Association, which ensures representation in all sectors of the wool industry.
