πŸ”§ Heads-Up: Xero Outage Update πŸ”§
If you tried logging into Xero today or last night and hit an error, hang tight. Xero has confirmed that the issues are due to the ongoing global outage by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Here’s what you need to know:

βœ… Some users may experience delayed access or slower performance or not be able to log in at all.
βœ… Xero’s team is actively working with AWS on a fix.

Hopefully it is back online soon!

The Superannuation Guarantee Rate will increase from 10.5% to 11% tomorrow, 1 July 2023 which means as an Employer you need to ensure you are paying your employees the correct amount of Superannuation each pay from 1 July 2023 forward.

This new rate will be built into most Payroll software (including Xero) so should be calculated automatically when running payroll.

If you are an Employee please check your pay slips from 1 July 2023 to ensure you are receiving the correct amount.

Don’t forget the super guarantee rate increases to 11% from 1 July 2023.

This means you need to calculate super contributions at 11% for your eligible workers for payments of salary and wages you make from this date.

Your super contributions for the current quarter (ending 30 June, due by 28 July 2023) are still calculated at the 10.5% rate for payments of salary and wages made prior to 1 July.

If you use software to help with your payroll, you should check that it has been updated to enable this change for payments of salary and wages you make from 1 July.

I'm proud that my little idea to support & promote local businesses came to fruition last year. And I'm doubly pleased the Business Expo is happening today.

Please pop in.... it's a beautiful day!

Supporting Local not only helps build a stronger community & economic dynamics, it is also a greener choice when you consider the delivery distance between the product or service and its destination. .

This is something I've wanted to do for a long time.

I've always seen myself as a bit of a 'greenie' 🌿 and I hate how much of our waste goes into landfill.
Life gets busy and it's simply too hard to be 'doing the right thing' all the time despite our best intentions. Especially when our council recycling doesn't cover 'everything' that can be recycled.
So, the gaps have to be filled by private enterprise, such as REDcycle for scrunch-able plastics and initiatives from, for example, TerraCycle Australia and Officeworks.

I want to do my bit.
I'm collecting the 'hard to recycle' waste that is not accepted in our council recycling service from two areas:
* Office Supplies
* Beauty Products & Packaging

I invite my clients, neighbours, friends & family to put aside what would normally go into landfill and fill my boxes instead 😁
A step at a time.

And I encourage other businesses & organisations to look at getting their own Zero Waste Boxes from Terracycle, particularly those that relate to their industry. There's one for everyone... even one for sporting stuff! πŸ€πŸˆπŸš΄β€β™€οΈβš½οΈπŸπŸŽΎπŸ‰β›³οΈ
