It's about time we formally introduced ourselves and put a face to the BCM name...

Meet Michael and Brooke, the husband-and-wife team who've been running Bayside Cabinet Makers together since 2022.

Michael's trade journey has come full circle. He started out as a cabinetmaker in 1998, retrained as an electrician, and in 2022 an opportunity came up that brought him right back to where it all began; cabinetmaking.

Brooke splits her time between wrangling their three young boys and co-running BCM. From compliance and accounting to social media and content creation, if it doesn't involve a tool, it's probably on her desk.

Alongside them is a small crew of cabinetmakers, designers and apprentices, with over 80 years of combined industry experience between them. The whole team holds each other to one standard: pride in every detail, on every cabinet. Not "good enough”. Not rushed. Just done properly.

So that's the faces behind BCM. Nice to (finally) meet you.

Every once in a while, a project comes along that reminds us why we do this.
This cellar was one of those 🍷

Our client is a true w**e connoisseur, and this space was his passion project — years in the making. When he brought us in, we knew we weren't just building storage. We were building a sanctuary for something he'd spent a lifetime falling in love with.

So we obsessed over the details most people would never think to ask about. Hardware selected not just for finish, but to carry the true weight of the w**e crates it holds — a functional decision that became an art piece in itself. Curved, angled shelving that doesn't exist anywhere else — prototyped from scratch until it was exactly right, because off-the-shelf would never cut it for a collection like this.

Every join, every angle, every hour we poured into this space was in service of one thing: a room worthy of the passion behind it.

This is, without question, one of our favorite pieces of custom cabinetry we've ever created. And we're endlessly honored he trusted us to bring it to life.

This project brings together the warmth of Polytec Florentine Walnut Woodmatt with the depth of Polytec Black Woodmatt — creating a balance that feels both bold and refined.

From the curved island and fluted detailing, to the seamless integration of full-height joinery and soft architectural lines, every element has been designed to flow — not just function.

It’s the kind of space that doesn’t rely on one feature to stand out…because every detail holds its own.
